Lilly and Christian welcome Jacob!

Jacob Alfred Ofner was born on the 23rd May 2005. Join me in wishing Lilly and Christian all the best for their new family. Almost worth starting a Children section on this site.

Pending changes...

A new year and time for some changes. Starting with a new home page. I figured, that news should be on the news section and what you guys are really using this page for is to get straight to where you want to be. I will add some more relevant content and make appropriate changes to the layout to make this site more usable and provide more interesting information. Watch this space...

Sweeping Success

27/08/02

Tom turned 30 on 21st August. On the 23rd his friends decided to punish him (according to a tradition in Northern Germany) for not being married. Tom was forced into a diver's suit and had to sweep the 'steps of the cathedral' in front of the town house in Lilienthal, Germany.

After having been kissed free by a virgin, the party moved onto the garden of Tom's mum who had prepared a party with traditional shots, tent, bbq and hours of frolocking.

Pitty if you missed it. Read @rni's account of it in the EVENTS section or view the huuuge amount of pictures of the event on the Kafkan sub-site.

Sue from APU Alumni needs your help

05/08/02

Sue Jacobs from the Anglia Alumni association is trying to keep an up to date record of where people are and what they do. After reading the 'Who is Where' page on www.eba98.com she found that she is missing some people's curent details. If you have moved recently, please drop her a line on s.a.jacobs@apu.ac.uk or call her on +44 (0)1245 493 131 Ext. 4224.

Alison and Che are Expecting

27/06/02

Alison is pregnant. Not only was she the first to get married after graduating (well, the first EBA wedding I was invited to anyway;-), but now she is on the verge of becoming the first post-graduation EBA mother. The baby is due on Christmas - very suitable. Join me in wishing her, Che and the baby all the best for the future.

First Pictures from Chris & Steph's Wedding

01/07/02

Chris and Stephanie got married in a small place near Lille in France on the 8 June 2002. His brother published some of the wedding pictures on the following site: www.maundrell.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk. There was also a second reception in Birmingham (the Aston Villa sportsground, to be precise) on the 29 June 2002. Pictures of the latter will be resented here soon.

Warhonowiczs Wander West

28/02/02

Yes, London is actually west-is from Frankfurt. Gerlinde and Arnold have decided to leave one financial city for another and will migrate to London in June.

As Arni put it: "Some of you out there might know, others might not but me going back to live and work in Germany after I finished in Cambridge was a compromise between me and Gerlinde. I was to come back to Germany for a couple of years and then we would move to some other place (yes, I did have Australia in mind). Since my original plan did not work (getting into Australia that is) we have not settled for the less sunny country known as England. I will start to work for the UK office of my current employer (www.frango.com) sometime in early July which means we will move out there in late June. This will take Frankfurt off the top position in the "places to go and work" list and put London up there, which will then (I think) have the largest population of EBA98 students."

Chris and Stephanie

07/04/01

On the 31. March 2001 Chris proposed to his long-time girlfriend Stephanie and she said 'yes'.

The wedding is planed for the 1 June 2002.

@rni and Gerlinde

01/07/00

Yes, it did take me some time to get back onto this site, but since not a lot of you seem to be interested I decided to spend my time trying to make friends in the real world... not ver successully, but hey, the Guestbook didn't really take of yet either. Someone once said Cambridge wasn't built in a day.

Speaking of days, there will be THE big day for @rni and Gerlinde very soon. Check out what @rni has to say about it on this page.

Guestbook

19/4/00

First of all, sorry for the clicking and banner ads, but at the moment that is the only way to offer this Guestbook.
Keep us posted, share your thoughts annoy us, do what what you want with it. I will try not to edit it ,-)

If you hate it, don't use it. If you want to offer me a place I can run my own cgi-bin, I can lose the banner ads.
Until the next addition.

Tom

Mailing List, Amy's 21st and some job offers

16th April 2000

As you can see I try to improve this site constantly. Sad that most of you have a look at the home-page (if that) and then decide to come back later (if that, too).
I have set up a mailing list (sign up on the home-page)and yes, I know it leads you to a different page and asks you stoopid questions. I have set it up that way and I PROMISE that this data will not be seen or used by anyone except ME. You don't even have to fill everything in, only your first name and country or sommink. So go on, give me a chance to reach you guys easier (one day there will be a reunion... sorry (-, ).
Apart from that have a read about Amy's 21st B-day in BW, Germany or consider the job offers from Arni in Frankfurt and Connie in Hanover.

Even Improovter, as the English wouldn't say.

20th March 2000

Wozzup ?
Like it ? I know you cannot 'quickly' tell me but I am working on that. Be a little more patient.
apart from that, I am still missing an awful lot of current positions and dissertation topics. Just drop me a little line, will ya ?
Thanks and enjoy the site.

7th March 2000

Hi again, as you might have guessed the entire site has moved. This means not only that I am going to try to get a funky email address, but also that the next step has been made. Now we get serious. Lots of plans and lots of necessary changes will be made. For example will Mr. Porter not have a say about where to find (or rather not to find things anymore. after I got confused (and I build the bloody thing) I decided to change the navigation to make it much more user-friendly. Also I am working on a new way of communicating with you guys 7 dolls. But you will c.

15th October 1999

And again a new design. I think we are getting better and better wouldn't u think ?

Also read all about Alison's wedding... well, almos all...

Long time - no news. Well after all, it was Xmas and the new year started and we all had a lot to do and eat and drink and ...
But, Tom and me finally managed to concentrate some brain capacity on a new layout of the page and we are working on getting everything up and running asap. So look out for a brand new EBA-page, coming to an internet pc near you soon ....

09.12.98

03.08.1998
I know, Tom uploaded a few pages on the first, but I was the one to put them in the table above. I also added some of my own and another change. Hope to get more contributions from you lazy bastards though ...

1st August

Moonhee had 2 say about Doreen
Enjoy,
Tom

25.07.1998
More than one month later and all I received is one mail by Tom for the page. This is exactly why I never volunteered for this job at school. It is simply too tedious. Anyway, as I am now ready to spend time on other things than unpacking I will start working on the page again in the near future. Please send more stuff to me, I need more ...!

18.06.1998
Arni is leaving Cambridge on Sunday, 21st June and will not be able to make any changes to this page for some time. As for Tom, nobody knows if he's geoing to do anything. Just come back and see for yourself.
Also, the feedback so far has not been the most impressive. I can sort of understand it for the Berlin side of the course, but you guys here in Cambridge have just been a joke (with a few exceptions).

04.06.1998
We still haven't received much from you, the people on the EBA course. Quite a shame but then again, it's all your decision.

03.06.1998
A friend has promised to design an EBA logo for us, which is why this page only has a white background.
