The People Who Made EBA 98 |

In the near future this page will be devoted to friends we met along the way and without whom the EBA experience would have been very different....indeed.
Mark Pierro, a man, a mistery. He lived with Andy and Tom in Chesterton road in the first year and definitely mad an impression. Not only on his pillow which he used for all sorts of things. His bad back, black humor and late complaint about too much milk in his tea will remain.
Louise Parmenter, dancing queen. A regular at all student parties and in the 5th Avenue, Po Na Na or other. Louise, the tall woman who could dance the night away. Unfortunately, an attempt from Nelly and me to meet her for her b-day in a club near Angel went terribly wrong whe she didn't show up ;-) Try again, please.
Mia C. Edwards, one of the few Americans with a sense of humor. One day she showed up on our doorstep at 223 Chesterton with her slippers and a glas of whiskey in her hands (the slippers on her feet, of course). It was a pleasure listening to her making fun of the american accent.
Cruz Cif- Izqueido, small, yet clever Spanish beauty. Somehow she was the brains behind a network of Spanish party-people. Strange, if there was a party there were always an abundance of Spanish and Greek people. I am sure that was partly her doing. Broken hearts left right and centre, too.
Allan Sanderson, the friend that was shared by people from the EBA year above. A dear friend and still Cambridge resident. Many a good b-day brunch, on the floor, with veggie bbq and all. Of course, eternal gratefullness for giving Tom a new home for a couple of months between last exams and first job.
Jaleh Firouzbakht, Persian Princess with the impossible surname. A fellow student of the Spanish language for some of us and a dear friend with an interesting history. Thanks for an afternoon of coffee and conversation after an interview with Sibelius gone wrong ;-)
Laura Duarez Pajarez, smallest of the co-inhabitants in 223 Chesterton. Always up for a laugh and didn't kill Tom for kicking out her friends... Sorry, Laura !!! Always smiling and constantly partying. Also introduced us to Calimocho, the lethal mixture of red wine and coke.
Barbara Estebaranz, or, why do the pretty ones fall for David? In all fairnes, there is so much more to tell about Barbie, than the fact that Mr Michaux stole her heart. Great friend and the one trying to keep the others in line, unsuccessfully, of course.
Raquel Maestre, the quiet, reflecting one. Having said that, she wasn't all that quiet with the other Spaniards. Most brilliant conversation, when Tom called once:' Hi, this is Tom, just making sure you are home. A friend needs to pick up his helmet.' - 'Tom is not home.' - ' I know, it's me.' - 'Tom is not home.' - ' Yes, this IS Tom, he he. I know I am not home, just making sure someone else is.' - ' sorry, Tom is not home.' etc. I miss you !
Ariane Bagnan, small bundle of energy. Met Treppe because her Italian friends were to shy to admit that they had forgotten his name. A couple of months later she conquered Tom's heart and they lived together for more than four years in London. Always inventory on any dancefloor on parties and very pretty ;-) Anyone missing ? Send me your contributions.
