30/12/07 - Our Label Records' very own Gu is taking his Funk, Soul and Jazz 45s down to Madrid, Spain for an extended weekend of funky music. Starting at the Jazzclub on Thursday, January 17th with Mayka Edjol, moving to El Juncto on Friday, January 18th alongside DJ Marcos Boricuas. Gu will then be taking things to new heights at the Kathmandu on Saturday, January 19th when it is the official "Our Label Records meets The Sweet Vandals" premiere with Gu DJing alongside Sweetfinger Santi and Mayka of Spain's funky Soul outfit The Sweet Vandals. Come to Spain and be part of it!

Unfortunately, we cannot reveal any more details, other than this: It will be another extremely funky track, it has never been released anywhere before, it is performed and produced with the same tightness and love for the groove that you know you NEED. The quintett around singer Mayka Edlo is the discovery of the year for the Funk and Soul scene. In line with the tradition of artists like the great James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye they play Funk grooves that have the soul of the Motown era and are bound to make you sweat. The debut album of the Sweet Vandals has been released on Unique Records, Düsseldorf, Germany and the singles "Do It Right" and "Charlie Love" already move people in Funk and Sould Clubs all over Europe.

09/09/06 - Our Label Records is happy to announce that "Give Me A Minute (Part 1)" by The New Mastersounds will be featured on the new compilation "Let The Groove Move You (Stay On The Groove 2)", released by the UK-Imprint Freestyle Records and in stores worldwide on October 6th 2006. This is the first Our Label 45 release to be available on CD. Written and produced by DJ Gu alongside Eddie Roberts and The NMS the original 45 release of "Give Me A Minute" (OUR45-001) is already sold out.

Keb Darge production on Our Label Records

29/11/05 - Very exciting news. The next release on Our Label Records will be a new Keb Darge production! The grand master of Deep Funk got some old and some new cats together, amongst them musical genius Eddie Roberts. The result is the fresh new tune by The Inmates called 'Bread and Water'. Our Label Records will exclusively release this production on 7inch vinyl (of course) in due course. Release dates and further infos soon here.

Record Release Party on 2 September 2005

5/8/05 - The wait is over! On the 2nd September 2005 the Urban Jazz Groove will host the official Record Release Party of Our Label Record's first 7" single "Give me a minute Pt.1" and "Give me a Minute Pt.2". World premier at UJG

1/7/05 - Bremen heard it first. At this months Urban Jazz Groove the crowd was treated to the first every public playing of "Give me a minute Pt. 1", the upcoming first release from Our Label Records. DJ Gu announced this brand new track, written by himself and the New Mastersounds, to an already hot and sweaty audience. The packed dancefloor enjoyed the fast groove and was not put off by the tricky break inbetween. Once the track had finished Bremen's funk lovers showed their appreciation with generous applause and whistles.
